I need Wireless Notebook Card Help?
I have a Linksys WPC300N and an Acer Aspire 5520 and I installed tthe driver for the card but when I stick the card in the ExpressCard 54 slot the card does not power up or connect. It is not working
I don't believe the WPC300N has a switch on it. Have you plugged it into another laptop to verify its functioning correctly? Do you have another card you can stick in that slot to make sure it works correctly? Are you pushing it in all the way? Check out your device manager to make sure that port has proper drivers installed and it's enabled. Control Panel > System > Device Manager.
There could be a switch on the side of the laptop that needs to be turned on. A lot of new laptops have a switch to help increase battery time. Also make sure that the card slot is enabled.
