hey, im 16 yrs old...im currently a junior i have 8 classes but on block schedule...for some reason some of the subjects in school are simple to other people but sorta hard for me i try my best to listen and pay attention to the teacher but i still can't grasp the goal of the particular learning lecture ...idk i feal re stupid because i dont understand some things makes me wanna cry...but that's y i turned to y answers to see if any of you ladies or fellas have any advice for me id really appreciate.How can i survive with this mentality i think its time for a change... do you agree?
Please dont waste your time if your gonna tell me something that doesnt relate to the question.

p.s i don't have any disorders i just need good powerful advice, please.

keep listening, and learn to take good notes- if the teacher says something that you know dont write it down, and learn to write things quickly enough that you dont miss the next thing

confidence does have something to do w it- theres no way to address that directly however, its better to approach it from a different angle and that will take take of itself

What subjects are the hardest for you? many times there are things to do that are specific to the subj.

Confidence does effect how we learn. But intelligence plays a big part of learning as does what subjects you have had in the past. Have you been placed in courses that you weren't prepared for? If so I would talk to a counselor and see about a transfer or two. Tutoring is an option also.
All you can do it the best that you can do. You have to really study and work hard since things aren't coming easily for you.

Don't worry about it, hun. It's normal to feel discouraged when something doesn't make sense in class. I have the same problem in my Geometry class! lol. The teacher tries & tries to help me understand the concepts, but none of it makes much sense to me. I'm starting tutoring next week. :/ Maybe you should try to do tutoring, too. I hear it really helps! Just ask your teacher if there's any tutoring available & if so, ask when you can come in & get some help! Good luck!

everybody has talent in certain things.... not everything.... you have things that are easy for you right? might be hard as all for somebody else?

That's how I feel about math, because it is by far my worst subject.

I do think not being good at school brings down confidence making it even harder to excel.
